School Plans and Reports

One of the key functions of a school council is to contribute to the broad vision and direction of our

school through strategic planning. Strategic planning is the process of;

  • reflecting on a school’s past performance

  • establishing future directions and

  • deciding on what will constitute success.

The Department of Education's School Accountability and Improvement Framework outlines a clear

process for developing the Strategic Plan and where a Peer Review was undertaken with involvement

of all students, staff, our community, School Council.  

The 2018 - 2021 MPS Strategic Plan establishes a clear direction for the school over a four year period.  The Strategic

Plan is put into operation through an Annual Implementation Plan.  In turn, the Annual Implementation

Plan enables our school to deliver on the goals and targets identified in the school strategic plan.

School council is required to report annually to their community through the annual report that provides

a summary of the school’s performance over the previous year.  This reporting process also contributes

to system level accountability and to meeting relevant legislative requirements.  Marysville Primary

School's  vision, values and strategic intent is documented in its 2018 Strategic Plan and enacted

daily through our classroom teaching and learning programs.

                             engaged and responsible citizens of the local and global community.

We aim to prepare students to contend with a dynamic 21st century in which creativity, cooperative work, connectedness to the world and adaptability are key features.  The school aspires to provide a contemporary approach to teaching and learning in a respectful and purposeful learning environment.
